This short-lived Bowie band (containing the two sons of Soupy Sales and gtr guru Reeves Gabrels) kicked ass. When Bowie launched the band, he said he was done with his old solo stuff. Didn't quite stick, but I remember Under the God blowing me away when I first heard it.

Ben Folds has an Acapella CD coming out of vocal groups from mostly US colleges and universities doing some of his solo work and stuff from Ben Folds Five. I'll fire up a few of my favs over the next few days.
