Frank Zappa and Adrian Belew Make Muffins
I just got my electric guitar rocks off watching Belew kick ass and then Zappa putting on a big ass boot and kick ass even harder!

At Woodstock, Sweetwater was scheduled to open the festival, but due to band personnel issues, they actually came on second. As a tribute to band that was going to have the historical notoriety of that slot, Richie Havens incorporated an improv of their song "Motherless Child" into his legendary "Freedom" jam. I have never been able to listen to the Sweetwater version with anything other than a passing interest since hearing Havens' passion.
This clip may be a bit long, but it's worth it.
April Wine kicked so much ass it's not funny. I don't care there haven't had a hit for almost two decades. I saw them perform a year ago and they still kicked it. They may have had better songs than "I Like To Rock", but the nice thing is that this is the band at the rockingest even though it's shot at the gorgeous Le Studio in Quebec.
Congrats to Miles and boys for making the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
Been on a major Otis kick lately. His cover of the classic "Try a Little Tenderness" has always blown my mind. This live footage from the Stax '67 tour is infectious. How do you not want to dance while watching this? Can you believe he died at the age of 26?
Neko Case doesn't need facts or rhyme or reason - just music.
Such a great tune by a really cool Canadian band. Have been diggin' this track for a couple years now and it hasn't grown old at all.
